Empowering Young's Lives
Our Story of Transformation and Empowerment
Kamogelo Ya Podu was born out of lived experience. Our founder, Makgabo Lebogang Mabula, journeyed through the silent struggles of teenage motherhood, sexual abuse, and mental health challenges despite coming from a seemingly supportive background. Realizing the deep societal gaps in psycho-social support, guidance, and empowerment for teenage mothers and vulnerable youth, she transformed her pain into purpose. Kamogelo Ya Podu provides a safe, empowering space for teenage mothers, child-headed households, survivors of rape and abuse, youth requiring academic support and life skills, and young mothers needing holistic support. We believe no young woman or child should walk this journey alone.
